Polina Efremenko

In June 2026, I joined the University of Lausanne as a postdoctoral researcher to study the implications of Western sustainability regulations, in collaboration with Professors Peter Fiechter, Florian Habermann, Gaia Melloni, Nicolas Rudolf, and Sandra Schafhäutle. We examine how Western sustainability regulations affect the Global South, addressing an important and timely question for policymakers.

Prior to that, I worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Neuchâtel, where I also completed my PhD in Finance. My previous research studied sustainability issues through the lens of financial markets and corporate finance.
